With inflation, $20 minimum wage in California and open borders, it's very hard to find clients that will pay you enough to hire the right people in place to regulatory carry out the janitorial service they want vs hiring dirt cheap services they fire over and over expecting the same price getting the same bad cleaning over and over. I bid high because California doesn't allow janitors to profit because of laws and regulations. The desperate janitorial companies they bid low on everything, but they can't carry out the service because they're not making enough. I stir clear away from clients that want cheap services, it's just not worth it.
